The AAU offers two membership plans which afford members medical and liability insurance coverage exclusively at AAU events (standard membership) or at AAU events and specified non-AAU sanctioned competitions (added benefit membership). This two- tiered membership program is available to AAU club sports only.

Standard Membership: An athlete's membership costs $12 and a coach's membership costs $14. Membership is valid from September 1 to August 31st of the following year. Accident and liability insurance benefits are valid for AAU sanctioned practices and competitions. Coverage is NOT extended to athletes, coaches or clubs participating in non-AAU sanctioned events.

Added Benefit: An athlete's membership costs $14 and a coach's $16. Membership is valid from September 1 to August 31st of the following year. The "AB" membership provides accident and liability insurance for athletes, coaches, clubs and associations for specified non-AAU sanctioned competitions as well as for AAU sanctioned events.

All North Dakota AAU basketball teams must purchase a club membership. A level 1 club membership is $30.00 per club per year.  A level 2 club membership is $60 per club per year.  A level 2 membership allows you to host events.
